Lao Ban Zhang | King of Pu’er Tea
Produced in Lao Ban Zhang Village, Bulangshan Township, Menghai County, Xishuangbanna, Yunnan Province, this tea is known as the “King of Pu’er Teas.”
The village, situated at an altitude of approximately 1,700 meters, is shrouded in mist year-round. Ancient tea trees grow amidst primeval forests, imbuing the tea with a unique mountain aroma and rich, rich undertones.
The tea’s infusion is bright golden yellow, with a bitter but not astringent initial taste that quickly transforms into a rich, sweet aftertaste, leaving a deep, lingering aftertaste and a rich, lingering aroma. The tea’s aroma is intense but not dry, leaving a warm, refreshing aftertaste.
With age, the bitterness softens, the sweetness becomes more pronounced, and the aroma transitions from green to mature, becoming increasingly mellow and full-bodied, making it a treasured heirloom for collectors and connoisseurs.

David Thompson –
I was blown away by my first brew. The tea is incredibly fragrant, with hints of wood and honey. It’s slightly bitter at first, but melts away instantly, leaving a deep, lingering aftertaste and a gentle warmth throughout the body. It’s incredibly relaxing.
I usually drink tea for health, but this one left me feeling completely relaxed after finishing it.
I plan to keep this cake for a few more years; Lao Ban Zhang tea has incredible aging potential.
